Obituary of Forrest Harold Fraser

MIDDLE RIVER – Forrest Harold Fraser, 70, Middle River, formerly of New Glasgow, passed away suddenly, Monday, February 14, 2011 at home. Born in New Glasgow, he was the son of the late Duncan William and Alice Mae (Fraser) Fraser. He had been employed at the former Trenton Works and prior to retiring, had been a custodian at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, New Glasgow for 10 years. Harold was a member of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church and the Pictou County ATV Club. In earlier years he had been actively involved with Scouts Canada. Harold enjoyed the outdoors and spending time at the cottage in Garden of Eden. Surviving are his wife, Lois Adele (Foye); sons, Brent (Susan), Halifax; Darren (Tammy), New Glasgow; grandchildren, Brooke, Brianna and Cameron; mother-in-law, Alta Foye, New Glasgow; and many cousins . Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his father-in-law, Sam Foye. The family will receive visitors 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 17th in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 18th in the chapel with Rev. John Roy officiating. Family flowers only.
