Obituary of Jane Allison Sharpe

NEW GLASGOW – Jane Allison (Langille) Sharpe, 45, New Glasgow, passed away suddenly, Saturday, February 25, 2012 as the result of a motor vehicle accident. Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of Beverly Ann “Bev” (Brownell) Cavanagh, New Glasgow and Benjamin Kenneth “Ben” Langille, New Glasgow. Allison was employed as a customer service representative with OLS, Antigonish. In earlier years, Allison completed the Royal Canadian Air Cadets program with 374 F/L Chisholm Squadron, Stellarton. Allison enjoyed camping and swimming in the summer months. She was a proud grandmother, who cherished every moment spent with her only grandson, Joshua. Allison was a loving mother to her children and best friend to her sister, Michelle. Surviving besides her parents, Bev and Ben; children, Ashlee (Brian) Curtis, Upper Rawdon and Travis Fleming, New Glasgow; sisters, Michelle (Gary) Denny, Pictou Landing; Laurie Langille (Matt Sears), Dartmouth; brother, Chris Langille (Tanya Lyons), New Glasgow; grandmother, Alta Langille, Fraser’s Mountain; aunt, Jackie Johnstone, New Glasgow; uncle, Sheldon Langille, Fraser’s Mountain; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her step-father, Stewart Cavanagh; maternal grandparents, Betty and Kenneth Brownell; paternal grandfather, John Langille; step-grandmother, Helen Cavanagh. The family will receive visitors 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, March 1st in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow. A private family service will be held at a later date.
