Obituary of Muriel Viola Oliver
PRIESTVILLE – Muriel Viola Oliver, 67, Priestville, passed away peacefully, Sunday, February 4, 2018 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow surrounded by her loving family.
Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Leo Francis and Mary Ann (MacIsaac) Kiley. Prior to retirement, Muriel was employed with the Aberdeen Hospital Housekeeping Unit after 28 years of service. Muriel was a hard worker and an excellent housekeeper. She lived life to the fullest, took pride in her home and property, enjoyed shopping for Christmas and enjoyed being “Mrs. Claus”. Her pride and joy was spending time with her family and especially the family dinners.
Surviving are her companion, Mike Baldwin; daughter, Mary Oliver (Darryl), Priestville; son, George (Connie), Thorburn; grandchildren, Tyler, Courtney, Bret and Thomas; great-grandchildren, Nolan, Kylie, Isabel, Thomas, and Lola; sister, Georgina Tracey (Warren), Priestville; brother, Fred (Helen), Sherbrooke; many nieces and nephews; special friends, Joanne Paris and Caroline Pettipas.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by sisters, Dot Murphy, and Annette Gillingham; brothers, Roxy MacIsaac, and Moe Kiley.
In honour of Muriel’s request, her life will be celebrated privately by her family.
