Obituary of Ricky Darrell MacDonald
GREEN’S POINT – Ricky Darrell “Red Rider” MacDonald, 45, Green’s Point, passed away suddenly, Sunday, September 6, 2009 due to an automobile accident.
Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of Spurgeon Francis “Spurge” MacDonald, Green’s Point and the late Goldie Linda (Burgess) MacDonald. Ricky was a car enthusiast and enjoyed music.
Surviving besides his father, Spurge (Muriel “Snookie”), are his finance, Janet Bourque, New Glasgow; son, Darrell Frazee, Trenton; sisters, Debbie MacDonald, Shirley MacDonald, Trenton; Sharon MacDonald (Sandy Denny), Green’s Point; brothers, Edward “Eddie” (Mary) MacDonald, Green’s Point; Allister “Al” MacDonald, Trenton; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his mother, Goldie.
The family will receive visitors 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, September 9th in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 10th in the chapel with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating. Interment will be in Christ the King Cemetery, Trenton.
