Obituary of Glenda Lorraine MacAulay

THORBURN - Glenda Lorraine MacAulay, 67, Thorburn, passed away peacefully, Saturday, June 21, 2014 at home, surrounded by her family. Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Duncan Gordon and Edna Ruth (Sutherland) Cameron. She was an active member of Freedom Bible Church, Sutherland’s River. Glenda was a lady of unmovable faith, who possessed a grace and strength that grew throughout her life journey. Her devotion and love for family was unwavering. She now enjoys the promise of eternal life given to her through her faith in Christ. Surviving are her children, Kevin (Vanessa) MacLean, MacLellan’s Mountain; Keith (Tracy) MacLean, Barney’s River Station; Elaina (Patrick) O’Connor, Lower Barney’s River; grandchildren, Shelbie, Savanna, Cameron and Skye; siblings, Ellery (Mary) Cameron, New Glasgow; Elaine MacDonald, New Glasgow; Harvey (Conny) Cameron, Sutherland’s River; Heather (Ron) Sangster, Greenwood Road; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by brother, Gordon Cameron; brothers-in-law, Marty Rudolph and Earl MacDonald. The family will receive visitors 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday, June 23 in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 24 in the chapel with Pastor Alan Klein officiating. Interment will be in Thorburn Cemetery. Glenda’s family wish to thank Liz Archibald, Carol Cameron MacLeod and Linda MacKay for their love and daily devotion to Glenda. They also wish to thank the Pictou County VON, her church family, neighbours and friends for their kindness.
