Obituary of Arthur Adams Alexander
TRENTON – Arthur Adams “Art” Alexander, 65, Trenton, formerly of Pictou Landing, passed away suddenly on Monday, December 9, 2013 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, surrounded by his family.
Born in Kirkcaldy, Scotland, he was a son of the late William Thomson “Jock” and Mary Sephy (Adams) Alexander. Prior to retirement, Art was a Stationary Engineer with Nova Scotia Power for 34 years. He was a member of St. James Anglican Church, Pictou and the former St. Augustine’s Anglican Church, Trenton. Art was a loving husband, father, “Papa Art”, “Grampie”, brother, uncle and friend.
Surviving are his wife, Peggy Bradley; sons, J. David Alexander, Tuktoyaktuk, NWT.; W. Daniel (Cheryl) Alexander, Beaver Bank; step-sons, Daniel Bradley, James (Samantha) Bradley and sons, Liam and Logan, Salt Springs; Scott Bradley (Meghan MacKenzie) and daughter, Allison, Hopewell; sisters, Jane (Robert) MacMillan, New Glasgow; Judy (Sheldon) Dickie, Trenton; brothers, Bill (Sharon), New Glasgow; Robin (Frances), Trenton; several aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins; faithful canine companion, Joe.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by infant daughter, Megan Suzanne Alexander.
Private funeral service will be held with Archdeacon Peter Armstrong presiding. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery.
