Obituary of Earl Oakley Angevine
AVONDALE – Earl Oakley Angevine, 53, Avondale, passed away peacefully Monday, April 5, 2021 in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish, surrounded by the love of his family after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Antigonish, he was a son of Judy (Dean) Angevine, Marshy Hope and the late Earl Angevine. Earl was a Red Seal Iron Worker and was employed with Steelmac Limited, Antigonish for many years as a foreman. He was a member of Ironworkers Local 752. Earl enjoyed sitting on his deck enjoying the sunshine and spending time with family and friends. He was “always there” to help anyone - putting himself last. Earl leaves a rich legacy of hard work, determination and selflessness.
Surviving besides his mother, Judy, are his wife of 22 years, Pat; sons, Cody (Lucas) and Marcus, Avondale; granddaughter, Genesis; sisters, Earlene, Manitoulin Island, Ont.; Joan, Courtenay, B.C.; Charmaine (Derek), Stewiacke; brothers, Billy (Cathy), Pinevale; John, Saltsprings; several nieces and nephews; many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Besides his father, Earl, he was predeceased by sister, Jill in infancy; nephew, William in infancy.
A private service will be held with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating.
