Obituary of Murray Stephen Wilson
COALBURN – Murray Stephen Wilson, 59, Coalburn, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, August 23, 2016 in the VG Site, QEII, Halifax, surrounded by his family.
Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Fraser Clarence and Nancy Blaikie (Holiday) Wilson. Murray was employed with MacGregor's Custom Machining Ltd., MacLellan’s Brook for 35 years. He was a hard worker, who endeavoured to do the best for his family. Murray loved his family and was especially proud to be "papa” to Penelope and Amelia. He possessed an enduring strength and unwavering positive spirit in the face of illness. Murray leaves a legacy of love and devotion.
Surviving are his wife of 35 years, Debbie; son, Geoffrey (Sara) Wilson, Thorburn; daughter, Melissa Wilson (Devin), Dartmouth; granddaughters, Penelope and Amelia; brothers, Carl (Nedra) Wilson, Green Hill; Roy Wilson, Sylvester; Ralph (Susan) Wilson, Caribou; Alan (Anne) Wilson, New Hamburg, Ont.; father and mother-in-law, Gordon and Shirley Kehoe, Coalburn; many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive visitors 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26 in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow from where a service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 27 with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson presiding.
