Obituary of Mary Enid Walsh
MUNROE AVENUE EXTENSION - It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our sister, Mary Enid (MacDonald) Walsh, Munroe Avenue Extension, on Thursday, March 18, 2021 in the Aberdeen Hospital, Palliative Care Unit, New Glasgow, surrounded by the love of family and friends.
Mary Enid was born on April 3, 1960 in New Glasgow to the late Ronald Ivor MacDonald and Mary Margaret (Kontuk) MacDonald. She had been employed for many years with the Museum of Industry, Stellarton as receptionist. Mary Enid possessed a “heart of gold” and enjoyed socializing with friends and family. She is best described as a “good all-around person”, the best sister and friend anyone could have. Mary Enid dearly loved her three grandsons and never missed an opportunity to “spoil them”. She leaves fond memories and a gentle smile among the many virtues for which she will be remembered. For Mary Enid, “Life has changed; not ended!”
Surviving are her son, Nathan (Lori-anne) Walsh and their children, Hunter, Cohen and Brady, Airdrie, Alta.; sister, Susan (Terry) Chickness, Westville; brother, Ron MacDonald (Mary Jean Campbell), Munroe Avenue Extension; nephew, Darryl (Melody) Chickness and their children, Jessica, Devon and Caitlyn, Hammond Plains; aunts, uncles and cousins.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Captain D. Matthew Walsh
A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held in the Church of The Holy Name, Westville with Father Peter MacDonald presiding. Interment will be in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens.
