Obituary of William Edward Phalen
TRENTON – William Edward “Ed” Phalen, 44, Trenton, passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2011.
Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of Edward “Ed” and Carol (Gratto) Phalen, Trenton. He had been employed as a welder with the former Trenton Works and had worked in upholstery. He was a member of First United Church, Trenton. Ed enjoyed life to the fullest and loved his family dearly.
Besides his parents, Ed and Carol, surviving are his wife, Veronica Michelle (MacKenzie); children, Carissa, Edward “Eddy”, Sarah and Haley, at home; brother, Randy Phalen, Trenton; niece, Allie, Trenton; nephews, Hayden and Ryland MacKenzie, Abercrombie; father and mother-in-law, Michael and Gail MacKenzie, Abercrombie; special aunt, Bet Gratto, Trenton; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by a sister in infancy.
The family will receive visitors 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28th in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29th in First United Church with Rev. Dr. J. Kenneth MacLeod officiating.
