Obituary of James Allister Bowser

GREENWOOD ROAD – James Allister “Jimmie” Bowser, 82 of Greenwood Road, passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 21, at the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow surrounded by his family. Born in Thorburn, he was a son of the late Oliver and Glennie (Marshall) Bowser. Jimmie worked in the McBain Mine for 22 years and Michelin Tire, Granton Plant for 20 years. He was an adherent of St. George’s Anglican Church and a member of the 55 Plus Club, New Glasgow. Jimmie loved to garden, plow driveways and till his gardens. Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Joan (Leath), daughter, Martha (Locke) Woolley, Telford; son, Calvin, Greenwood; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. There will be no visitation or funeral service by Jimmie’s request. Flowers and donations are gratefully declined. An act of kindness in Jimmie's memory would be appreciated.
