WESTVILLE - Mary Alice Walsh, 86, Westville, formerly of Linacy, passed away Thursday, December 4, 2014 in the Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care Unit, New Glasgow, surrounded by her family. Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Jennie (Lochead) Davidson. Mary enjoyed playing bingo and socialize with her friends. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Surviving are her daughters, Hazel (Donald) Chisholm, Slyvester; Theresa Miller (Sandy), Hamilton, Ont.; Mary Ann (Lowell) Lee, Westville; Dorothy Walsh, Stellarton; Margie Walsh, Hamilton; son, Charlie (Maureen), Hamilton; daughters-in-law, Diane Walsh, Westville; Jo-Anne Walsh, New Glasgow; sister, Annie MacDonald, Hamilton; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, James Robert Walsh; sons, Robert and Donald; sisters, Lill MacPherson, Violet Pitts; brother, Charles, Bobby and Whitman. In keeping with Mary’s wishes, a private gathering and service will take place. Interment will be in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens. Mary’s daughters and son wish to thank their sister, Mary Ann and niece, April for the devoted care their mother received.
