Obituary of Crawford Leon Fievet

THORBURN/DARTMOUTH – Crawford Leon Fievet, 80, Dartmouth, formerly of Thorburn, passed away peacefully Friday, July 15, 2011 in Abby J. Lane Memorial Hospital, QEII, Halifax, surrounded by his family. Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Leon Basil and Laura Winfred (Spencer) Fievet. He was a coalminer working in various coal mines throughout Pictou County and was a salesman working for various companies in Nova Scotia and Montreal. Crawford enjoyed charity work for various churches in Halifax and Dartmouth. He enjoyed horse racing, hunting, fishing and boxing. Surviving are his companion, Mabel Toney, Dartmouth; brother, Robert Sr. “Bobby”, Thorburn; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Fievet. There will be no visitation or service by Crawford’s request. Arrangements are entrusted to P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow.
