Obituary of Robert Curley
LINACY – Curley, Robert “Wayne”, 65, passed away Monday, January 3, 2011 at home.
Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Emmett and Elizabeth (Wilkinson) Curley.
Wayne was retired as a Linesman with Nova Scotia Power for over 30 years. He enjoyed sports and spent a lot of time fishing.
Surviving are daughter, Stacey (Rheal) LeBlanc, Moncton; son, Roddie (Christie), Salmon Arm, BC; sister, Beverly Mackie (Mel Ryan), New Glasgow; brothers, Mike (Nancy), Woodburn; Brian (Mamie), New Glasgow; Aunt, Margaret “Rita” MacDonald, New Glasgow, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by sister, Marie Lank.
The family will receive visitors from 6-8 pm on Thursday in P & K MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Friday with Father Bill Rankin officiating.
Donations may be made in Wayne’s memory to Heart & Stroke Foundation.
