Obituary of Marion Jean Isaacs
NEW GLASGOW – Marion Jean Isaacs, 81, New Glasgow, passed away Monday, January 14, 2013 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, surrounded by her family.
Born in Pictou, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Edward and Lena Mary (White) Bryan. Jean was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, Stellarton. Her faith is now realized - “life has changed, not ended”. Jean’s passion was clothing design, having designed and created clothing for her children throughout their childhood. She enjoyed playing crib with her friends in the Stellarton Legion and in earlier years with the Westville Crib Club. Jean greatly enjoyed the company of her Yorkshire Terrier, Dudley II. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt, who will be dearly missed by those that loved her.
Surviving are her husband of 61 years, David “Sonny” Isaacs; daughters, Mary Isaacs (Darlene Boyle), Vancouver, B.C.; Debbie Reid, New Glasgow; son, Michael Christopher (Eileen) Isaacs, New Glasgow; grandchildren, Erin (Brenden), Josh (Heather), William and Brody; great-grandchildren, Colmcille and Jordyn Marie; sisters, Rose Marie (Stanley) Gouthro, New Glasgow; Carol Theresa (Lester) Langille, Westville; brothers, Edward A. (Florence) Bryan, Kelowna, B.C.; Aubrey W. (Kay) Bryan, Abercrombie; numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Thomas; brother, Clarence Bryan.
The family will receive visitors 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan 16th in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan 17th in Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church with Father Peter MacDonald presiding. Interment will be in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery.
