Obituary of Louise Isobel Wells

TRENTON – Louise Isobel Wells, 77, Trenton, passed away, Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at home. Born in Trenton, she was the daughter of the late Adam Jackson and Della Mae (Beach) Gill. Prior to retirement, she had been employed as a PCW at Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow for 24 years. She was a member of the former St. Augustine’s Anglican Church, Trenton and a member of the Steeltown Friendly Group. Louise enjoyed baking home made bread, making preserves, watching golf, playing cards and Saturday trips to the Mall. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. Surviving are her daughters, Patty Wells (Mike Yarosloski), Calgary, Alta.; Karen (Jean) Cartier, Navan, Ont.; sons, Gregory, Paul (Yali), Calgary; Phillip, Revelstoke, B.C.; former son-in-law, Jock Humphreys, Fort McMurray; brothers, Albert (Betty) Gill, Michael (Mary) Gill, Hamilton, Ont.; Carl (Ann) Gill, Stoney Creek, Ont.; Stewart Gill, Charlottetown, P.E.I.; grandchildren, Johni, Marshall and Patrick Humphreys, Sheena Bell, Kaitlin Wells, Ashley Davis, Andrea Wells, Christopher and Nicole Cartier, Amber, Adam and Renee Wells; great-grandchildren, Jayden and Oceana Davis; numerous nieces and nephews; caregiver, Linda MacKay, Stellarton. She was predeceased by her former husband, Ervin Wells. The family will receive visitors 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Saturday, September 12th in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, September 13th with Rev. Aidan Kingsbury officiating. Private interment in Hillside Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations may be made in her memory to the Pictou County S.P.C.A.
