Obituary of Jean Mildred Boehk
NEW GLASGOW – Jean Mildred Boehk, 82, Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow, formerly of Westville, passed away Sunday, September 23, 2012 in the manor, surrounded by family.
Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Charles Edward and Dorothy Gray (Busby) Barkhouse.
Surviving are her husband of 60 years, Roderick M. “Rod” Boehk, Westville; daughters, Beverly MacLeod (Jerry Kenny), White Hill; Ann Marie (Kent) Hodgert, Levittown, Penn.; sons, Alan (Ramona) Boehk, Barrie, Ont.; John Boehk, Westville; grandchildren, Christopher, James, Matthew and Kara; great-grandchildren, Alexandra, Alexander, Ethan and Nicholas; brother, Don Barkhouse, Stellarton; a niece and two nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by brother, Douglas; sister, Winnifred Pearl in infancy.
There will be no visitation at Jean’s request. A private funeral service will be held. The Boehk family wish to express their sincere appreciation to the wonderful staff at Glen Haven Manor for the excellent care Jean received and the kindness extended to the family.
