Obituary of Annie Mae Gerrior
TRENTON - Annie Mae Gerrior, 101, Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow, formerly of Trenton, passed away Saturday, May 24, 2014 in the manor.
Born in Kennetcook, Hants Co., she was a daughter of the late Benson and Mabel Jane (Manley) Gill. Prior to retirement, she was employed with Glen Haven Manor and previously with Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. She was a faithful member of Christ the King Roman Catholic Church, Trenton, where she had served as president of the Altar Society. She was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 29 and Steeltown Friendly Group Seniors Club, Trenton. Annie enjoyed dancing, playing bingo and was an avid card player. Above all, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
Surviving are daughters, Alice Hill, Connie Winch, Hamilton, Ont.; Peggy Bodnar, Qualicum Beach, B.C.; son, Don Gerrior, Vancouver, B.C.; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; four great, great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Joseph; daughter, Sadie Fisher; son, Milton; sons-in-law, Bill Fisher, Ronald Hill, Norman Winch and Hank Bodnar; many sisters and brothers.
In keeping with Annie’s wishes, cremation has taken place; there will be no visitation.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 28 in Christ the King Roman Catholic Church with Father Gary MacPherson presiding. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
