Obituary of M. Pauline Burnett
ABERCROMBIE – Mary Pauline Burnett, 71, Maritime Odd Fellows Home, Pictou, formerly of Abercrombie, passed away Saturday, November 3, 2007 in the Home, surrounded by her family.
Born in Pictou, she was a daughter of the late Albert Sanford Porter and Marie Laura (Kennedy) (Porter) Anderson. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, Stellarton. She trained as a CNA at the Camp Hill Hospital, Halifax and was employed with various hospitals in New Brunswick and Ontario. She returned home in 1980 and was employed with Shiretown Nursing Home, Pictou, until retiring in 1999.
Surviving are her daughter, Angela (Paul) Waite, Greenwood; son, Brian (Linda) Burnett, Coe Hill, Ont.; sisters, Pat (Arnold) Fitzgerald, Agnes (Sandy) MacPherson, Abercrombie; brothers, Robert (Frances) Porter, Morgan (Pat) Anderson, Abercrombie; aunt, Beatrice Fraser, New Glasgow; many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, George Maurice Burnett.
Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. today in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Monday in Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, celebrant, Father Peter MacDonald. Interment will be in Abercrombie Cemetery.
