Obituary of William Lorne Jack
NEW GLASGOW – William Lorne “Bill” Jack, 82, New Glasgow, formerly of Stellarton, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2016 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, surrounded by his family.
Born in Sonora, he was a son of the late John Henry and Lotti Carmella (Jack) Jack. Bill was employed as a carpenter with the former Lenargo Industries, New Glasgow and as a bus driver with the former Pictou County Transit. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Bill was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.
Surviving are his son, Bill Jr. (Jennifer) Jack; daughter, Thelma Eavieaut; step-daughter, Janette MacLaren Campbell; step-sons, George MacLaren, Charles MacLaren, Alex MacDonald; sisters, Marie (Walter) Swinamer and Charlene (Michael) Bingley; brothers, John (Rose), Harley (Florence), Barry (Jean) and Terry; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; special friend, Elsie MacDonald.
He was predeceased by his wife, Eva (Dignan); sisters, Hazel Mahar and Thelma MacDonald; brother, Wendell.
In honour of Bill’s wishes, a private graveside service will be held.
