TRENTON – Allister Wayne “Big Al” MacDonald, 57, Trenton, passed away peacefully at home, Monday, January 8, 2018 with his family by his side. Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of Spurgeon Francis “Spurge” MacDonald, Green’s Point, and the late Goldie Linda (Burgess) MacDonald. Surviving are fiancé, Tamara Polley; Pictou Landing Road; father, Spurge, Green’s Point; sisters; Debbie MacDonald; Sharon MacDonald; both of Trenton; brother, Edward “Eddie” (Mary), Green’s Point; chosen children, Alana and Johnathan Langley; Fred, Jessie James, and Claude Polley; fur baby, Smokey; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his mother, he was predeceased by his brother Ricky “Red Rider”. The family will receive visitor’s 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, January 10th in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, January 11th in the chapel with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating.
