Obituary of Charles Simon Robert Fraser

STELLARTON – Charles Simon Robert Fraser, 51, Stellarton, passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2011 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, after a brief illness. Born in Windsor, Ont., he was a son of Earl Stanford Fraser, Stellarton and the late Eleanor Betty (Wilson) Fraser. He was a graduate of DeVries Institute of Technology, Toronto. He was president of Charles Fraser Computers Limited and Spectrum Printing, New Glasgow. Charles was a Past Master of Euclid Lodge, A.F. & A.M., No. 92, New Glasgow. He took great pleasure in the accomplishments of his nieces and nephews. His friends and family will miss his quick wit and dry sense of humour. Surviving besides his father, Earl, are his sister, Donna (Mike) Kirby, Ottawa; brothers, Gordon (Betty-Anne) Fraser, Big Island; John (Sally) Fraser, Merigomish; aunts, May MacNaughton, Westville; Doris Stewart, Leamington, Ont.; nieces, Lisa (Dennis) Langton, Ottawa; Sarah Fraser, Halifax; Kate Fraser, Timmins, Ont.; Jessica Fraser, Halifax; Mary Fraser, Antigonish; Jane Eleanor Fraser, Merigomish; nephews, Matthew Kirby, China and Sean (Sarah) Fraser, The Netherlands; grand niece, Niki Langton; grand nephew, Chase Langton. He was predeceased by his mother, Eleanor. The family will receive visitors 10 – 10:50 a.m. Saturday, May 20th in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home Chapel, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. with Rev. Terrance R. Trites officiating. Interment will be in Brookside Cemetery, New Glasgow. Family flowers only. Donations may be made in his memory to Pictou County Food Bank.
