Obituary of Barbara Jean Wynn
LITTLE HARBOUR – Barbara Jean Wynn, 84, Ivey’s Terrace Nursing Home, Trenton, formerly of Little Harbour and Riverview, N.B., passed away peacefully, Saturday, March 20, 2021.
Born in Sydney, she was a daughter of the late John Angus and Maude Violet (Graham) MacPherson. Prior to retirement, Barbara was a kindergarten teacher, working in daycare in New Glasgow and Riverview. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Stellarton. Barbara enjoyed spending time at the family cottage at Black Point with her family. She loved and was adored by her grandchildren and was overjoyed with the birth of each great-grandchild. Barbara was selfless, kind and never spoke ill of anyone and has left leaving this legacy for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren to carryon. For Barbara, “Life has changed; not ended!”
Surviving are her daughters, Karen (Michael) MacCoubrey, New Glasgow; Kellie (Steve) Arsenault, Summerside, P.E.I.; sons, John (Janice Fraser) Wynn, Kings Head; Kenneth (Vicki) Wynn, Truro; Jeffrey (Debbie) Wynn, Plymouth; brother, Colin (Sandra) MacPherson, Dartmouth; grandchildren, Carly, Ashley, Jillian, Megan, Kayla, Leah, Brody, Erin, Becky, Kelsey, Nathan, and Abigail; great-grandchildren, Sarah, Ruby, Gray, Milo, Harper, Charlotte, Cameron, and Matthew; nieces and nephews, Dana, David, Kimberley and Graham.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by sisters, Jane Couture, Vera Moffatt, Margaret Melanson.
A private family visitation and reflection by Rev. Charles McPherson will be held in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow.
Barbara’s family wish to express their gratitude to the wonderful Ivey’s Terrace Nursing Home staff for the exceptional care received and friendships gained.
