TRENTON – Susan Elaine Smith, 68, Ivey’s Terrace Nursing Home, Trenton, passed away Friday, August 31, 2018 in the home. Born in Toronto, Ont., she was a daughter of the late Vernon James and Jessie Theresa (MacInnis) Roy. Susan was a faithful member of the former Christ the King Roman Catholic Church, Trenton. She enjoyed playing electronic games and visits with her family. For Susan, “life has changed; not ended”. Surviving are sons, George (Pam) Smith, New Glasgow; Ronald “Ron” Smith, Thorburn; Donald “Don” (Janice) Smith; grandchildren, Courtney, Chloe, Kayleigh, Kyle, Damien, Danten, Baylee and Nathan; sister, Anne Weyman, Trenton; niece, Jessie; nephews, Michael and David. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by son, Patrick in infancy. The Smith family extend a warm invitation to attend a Funeral Mass for Susan, 11 a.m. Saturday, September 8th in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, New Glasgow with Father Thomas MacNeil presiding and to attend a reception which will follow in the parish hall.
