Obituary of Clarence Robert MacAulay

WALKERVILLE – Clarence Robert “Bud” MacAulay, 82, Walkerville, passed away Thursday, October 29, 2015 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, surrounded by his family. Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Clarence Lilford and Mary Ann (Rector) MacAulay. He was a member of Maranatha Bible Church, New Glasgow. Bud was a carpenter and was employed with the former Trenton Works and operated the family business, MacAulay’s Lobster Barn, alongside his wife Irene for over 30 years. He held a lobster fishing license for several years, fishing out of Lismore. In earlier years, he managed the former Glubes Furniture Store, New Glasgow and worked in the McBain Coal Mine, Thorburn. Truly, there was little Bud could not turn his hand to; besides working at multiple jobs, he took time to teach and help others. He possessed a tender heart and loved his family dearly. Bud’s life reflected a deep faith in his Lord. He now enjoys the promise made to him that life only changes, not ends.
