Obituary of Raymond Julien Castonguay
KENZIEVILLE – Raymond Julien Castonguay, 78, Maritime Odd Fellows Home, Pictou, formerly of Kenzieville, passed away Saturday, December 4, 2010 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in Saint-Jean-Vainney, Que., he was a son of the late Joseph and Irene Castonguay. He had been employed for many years in logging and lumbering. Raymond’s favourite pastime was reading the Bible.
Surviving are his daughter, Beatrice L. (Richard) Rae, Westville; Raymond J. (Donna), Thorburn; sisters, Marie, Lilly and Beatrice, Quebec; grandchildren, Amanda, Samson, Christine, Dominique, Jeremiah, Charmaine, Jennifer and Mindy; great-grandchildren, Samantha, Daniel, Destiny, Trinity and Jeremiah; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by brothers, Fred and Alphonse.
The family will receive visitors from 12 – 12:45 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 8th in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home Chapel where funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. with Father Colin MacKinnon presiding. Interment will be in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Thorburn.
