Obituary of Emma Julia Campbell

NEW GLASGOW – It is with broken hearts the children of Emma Julia Campbell announce the passing of their beautiful mother and best friend on August 10, 2014 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, at the age of 87. Emma departed this world surrounded by the comfort and love of her family, in faith, to be reunited with those she loved, who have gone before her. Mom requested the following to be written at her passing. “Today I say goodbye to my wonderful children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends. To my children, Marie, Danny, Sharon, Jane, Howard, Beatrice, Donna and Lorraine; I will miss you all dearly. Please take care of each other and love one another, this you know will make me proud. I expect to be met by Donnie, baby Danny and Julie. My tearful parting will turn into a tearful reunion, please don’t worry about me. To my sisters Aldona Leadbeater and Annie Grace, thank you for all your love and support over the years, you are the best sisters in the world, I love you both dearly. Finally, to my Shana Marie, you have made my world complete, I will be watching over you always. Please take care of your mother, I know how sad she will be at my parting. Remember me with smiles and not tears, for life has changed; not ended! Until we meet again, all my love, Mamma” The family will receive visitors 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow from where service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday in the chapel with Father Gary MacPherson presiding. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
