Obituary of James Ronald Robertson
RIVER ROAD CHURCHVILLE - James Ronald “Jim” Robertson, 75, River Road Churchville, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, May 6, 2015 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, surrounded by his family.
Born in Springville he was a son of the late Jack and Edith (Cooke) Robertson.
He served his country for nine years in the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps spending time in Germany and Italy as well. Jim was a Roller Operator for different companies over the years. He enjoyed gardening, tractors and animals. The love of his life was his wife Barb and pets Maggie and Beca.
Surviving are his wife of 19 years, Barb (Murray); sisters, Katherine Lewis, Conquaerall Bank, Bridgewater; Lillian (Stew) Hattie, Halifax; several sister-in-laws; brother-in-laws; nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his sister, Rilla Wasyliw.
The family will receive visitors from 1p.m.-1:50 p.m. Tuesday May 12 in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home Chapel, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held at 2p.m. with Rev. Lorne MacLeod presiding. Interment will follow in Churchville Cemetery.
