Obituary of James William Stalker

NEW GLASGOW – James William Stalker, 55, New Glasgow formerly of Kenzieville, died on Thursday, November 20, 2008. Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of Ida (Falconer) Stalker, New Glasgow and the late William D. Stalker. He was a graduate of East Pictou Rural High School and the University of New Brunswick Forestry program. He was employed with Northern Pulp Nova Scotia Corporation, Abercrombie and was employed in Woodlands since 1975. Jamie enjoyed everything dealing with the woods and those who worked in the woods. Surviving besides his mother, Ida are his daughter, Becky, Bishop’s University, Lennoxville, Que.; sons, Ted, South Korea; Robbie, Carleton University, Ottawa; wife, Ann, Kenzieville; sister, Janet, Halifax; brothers, Rennie (Donna), Woodstock, Ont.; Sandy, Charleston, S.C.; Dr. Robbie, Halifax; Allister (Gilda), Edmonton, Alta; numerous, nieces and nephews; many friends. Besides his father, he was predeceased by a sister in infancy. The family will receive visitors 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Sunday in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Monday in the chapel with Rev. Donald Sutherland officiating. Cremation to follow. Family flowers only. Donations may be made in his memory to the Kenzieville Cemetery Fund, C/o.
