Obituary of Vivian Pearl Patton
LINACY – Vivian Pearl Patton, 80, Linacy, passed away suddenly, Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at home.
Born in Chipman Brook, she was a daughter of the late Charles Edward and Bertie May Idella (Gould) Misner. Prior to retirement, Vivian had been employed with the Pictou District School Board and previously with the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
Surviving are her husband, Kenneth Alvin Patton; son, Blair (Judy), Coldbrook; daughters, Cheryl (Mark), Scotsburn; Trish (Mike), Stellarton; Julie (Sheldon), Telford; step-daughter, Julie Marie (Bert), Hamilton, Ont.; step-sons, Terry (Leslie) and Trevor (Ann), Hamilton, Ont.; sisters, Grace, Burleen, Marguerite (Wayne), Evelyn, Carolyn (Percy); brothers, Freddie, Lawrence (Donalla), Garnet (Vicki), Percy, Ronald (Carol); 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by sisters, Viola and Kay; brothers, Charlie and Frank.
The family will receive visitors 2 – 2:50 p.m. Friday, Dec. 11 in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating. Interment will be in Thorburn Cemetery.
