Obituary of Allan Wilfred MacKinnon

STELLARTON – Allan Wilfred MacKinnon, 70, Stellarton, passed away, Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at home. Born in Montague, P.E.I., he was a son of the late Alec and Jessie Anne (MacDonald) MacKinnon. He served with the Canadian Army from 1961-1965. Prior to retirement, he was employed as an oil truck driver for many years. He was a faithful member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Westville. Surviving are his wife, Carol Emma (Hatherly); daughters, Tami (Eugene) Crosby, Green Hill; Darlene (Robert) Mosher, Loch Broom; son, Dwayne (Jennifer) MacKinnon, Salem; grandchildren, Jessie, Robin, Colby and Desireel; brothers, Clifford (Donna) and Bruce (Irene). Besides his parents, he was predeceased by son, Marty. There will be no visitation. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 3rd in Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses with Mr. Rick Watson officiating. Private interment will be in Seaview Cemetery.
