Obituary of William Angus Carrigan
STELLARTON – William Angus “Bill” Carrigan, 69, passed away peacefully, Monday, November 27, 2017, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow with his loving family by his side.
Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Angus and Daisy (Fraser) Carrigan. Bill was a truck driver most of his life working for several companies. He took great pride in riding his motorbike (Spyder) with no destination in mind, enjoyed hunting, fishing, helping neighbours with their yard work, providing Christmas dinner to those less fortunate, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife, Vicki; daughters, Mary, New Glasgow; Melissa, Telford; stepdaughter, Jennifer Hayman (Kevin Kelly), Stellarton; sisters, Helen Anderson, Trenton, Faye (Lloyd) Mitchell, MacPherson’s Mills, Vera Cleary, New Glasgow; Anna Fisher, Halifax; brothers, Dan (Marie), Linacy; John Robert (Yvonne), New Glasgow; grandchildren, Jamie, Riley, Madison; chosen grandchildren, Shaymus, Mya, Jax; many nieces and nephews.
Beside his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Garfield, Sandy, and David in infancy.
The family will receive visitors 1 – 1:50 p.m., Thursday, November 30th in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating. Interment will be in MacPherson’s Mills Cemetery.
