TORONTO, ONT. – Ralph Everett Mason, 91, Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, Toronto, passed away, Sunday, September 25, 2016 at the Centre. Born in Greenwood, Pictou Co., he was a son of the late Dearold Dearing “Dell” and Lida Lee (Clarke) Mason. During the Second World War, Ralph served as a gunner in the Royal Canadian Navy. Surviving are children, Clyde (Lorraine), Gail (Gerry) and Jane; sister, Thelma; sister-in-law, Pat; many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Harriett; brothers, Willard in infancy, Shirley and Harold; sister-in-law, Jean; brother-in-law, Grant. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 29 in Hatties Cemetery, Avondale with Linda MacDonald officiating. Donations may be made in Ralph’s memory to Hatties Cemetery.
