Obituary of Marjorie Christina Garneau

NEW GLASGOW – Marjorie Christina Garneau, 75, New Glasgow, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 15, 2021, surrounded by the love of her family. Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late James Gunn and Grampian Bella (Grant) Greene. Marjorie had been a Residential Care Worker for over 30 years. She enjoyed shopping with friends, going to the casino where she never lost a penny and connecting with family and friends on Facebook. Marjorie’s family looked forward to her baked gifts and cooked treats, especially, her cabbage rolls. For Marjorie, “Life has changed; not ended!” Surviving are daughter, Connie (Trevor) Boutilier, Onslow; sons, George Garneau, Duncan, B.C.; Calvin (Amy) Garneau, Stellarton; grandchildren, Brent (Brenna), Dakota, Kameron, Lucas, MacKenzie, Autumn and Hudson; brothers, Charlie (Barb) Greene, Toronto, Ont.; Gerry (Donna) Greene, New Glasgow; Chester (Lydia) Greene, New Glasgow; many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Albert Gordon Garneau Jr.; sisters, Jessie Cameron, Barb Harris and Evelyn Dobson; brothers, George Greene, Russell Greene, Henry Greene and Donald Greene.
