COALBURN – Catherine Roma Wynn Forsyth, 53, Coalburn, passed away Sunday, November 2, 2008 in the New Halifax Infirmary, QEII, Halifax, surrounded by her loving family. Born October 22, 1955 in New Glasgow she was a daughter of Ellsworth and Minetta (Langille) Fraser. Roma was an avid crafter. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, cooking, gardening and bingo. A loving companion, daughter, mother and grandmother, she will be sadly missed by her family. Surviving besides her parents are her companion, Peter MacGillivary; daughters, Sonya (Steven) Leil, Little Harbour Road; Tanya (Patrick) Fitt, Egerton; sons, Stephen, Trenton; Devan, at home; grandchildren, Tyler, Travis, Marshall and Maddy; siblings, Glenda (Ronnie) Fraser, Garden of Eden; Robert (Marlene) Fraser, The Ponds; Gloria (David) Doiron, Hilden; Wendy Fraser, Brookfield, Kevin (Tracy) Fraser, Sutherland’s River; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Douglas Arthur Forsyth; sister, Lorna Jane Fraser. The family will receive visitors 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel with Rev. Calvin Crichton officiating. Interment will be in Thorburn Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in Roma's memory will be gratefully accepted towards Devan's educaiton.
