Obituary of Delbert Leslie Michaud

NEW GLASGOW – Delbert “Leslie” Michaud Jr., 59, New Glasgow, passed away Tuesday May 30, 2017, at home. Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Delbert and Margaret (Coady) Michaud. He was a skidder operator for several years for Donald Cameron and a carpenter at the former Cameron and Fraser. Leslie enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a musician playing country and bluegrass music. He was a dedicated family man who was “everyone’s papa”. Surviving are wife, Cavell (MacKay); daughters, Dorothy Crewe, New Glasgow; Carolyn Crewe, Hopewell; son, Raymond Crewe, Abercrombie; sisters, Marion (Leslie) Cameron, Churchville; Linda (Brian) Moser, Glencoe; Carol (Leonard) Brownell, Camrose, Alta.; Sally (Richard) Cameron, Hopewell; grandchildren, Ashley, Cherie, Josh and Cassie; great grandchildren, Madison and Brianna; numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive visitors 6-8 p.m Friday June 2, 2017 in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Donations may be made in Leslie’s memory to the Pictou County SPCA or a charity of choice.
