Mr. Leggett was one of my favorite teachers at NGHS and even wrote me a very special reference at one point. He always let me be that student with strong opinions wanting to discuss the subject even after the bell rang and waited until I was finished my thought before dismissing the class. I always respected him for allowing me to have that voice and express myself in class. He was one of a kind and will always be remembered by his students. My deepest sympathy to his family. RIP Mr.Leggett

Very sorry to hear of cousin Waynes passing. Love the picture of him holding the red salmon. Picture was taken on the Kenai River in Sterling, Alaska where he can for a visit. Wayne was so excited get to see Alaska and family at the same time. My mom Joan Kuczmarski, his aunt was there fishing with us; both smiling and laughing ; was a good time that I will never forget.

Wayne was my neighbour across the street for quite a few years and was always very friendly. As sick as he was he still took the time to call me when my husband passed away this past May. Will miss him in the neighbourhood for sure. Sheila Chisholm.

We could never have had a more true and steadfast friend. Wayne fought his illness with his bottomless courage and his unique sense of humour. We have so many memories, going back decades, all of them make us smile. He must have been the very best of teachers! As a former NewGlasgow student I remember your dad with fondness. He had a great way of teaching. He was also a great fisherman and enjoyed a fishing weekend on the Miramichi, my former home famous for its salmon. It was a gift from myself and my husband. I also enjoyed waiting on him at the Westside Tim Hortons. He was a great guy.
