NEW GLASGOW - Violet Mae Forward, 96, New Glasgow, passed away peacefully, Sunday, October 24, 2021, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Trenton she was a daughter of the late Harding Harry and Mary Lucy (Benoit) DeMont. Violet’s greatest joys were her family and playing bingo. Surviving are daughters, Julia Treen, New Glasgow; Dianne Hull, Dowling, Ont.; Vicki Treen (Steve), Mississauga, Ont.; Florence (Terry) Timberlake, Florida; son, Harvey (Sue) Treen, Surrey, B.C.; daughter-in-law, Diane Treen, MacLellan’s Brook; grandchildren, Royce, Angela, Peter, Paul, Mark, Jamie, Jeremy, Crystal, Jason, Matthew and Erik; sister-in-law, Jean DeMont, New Glasgow; many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Walter Treen; second husband, Charles Forward; son, John; granddaughters, Marilyn in infancy and Kimberly; grandson, Jason in infancy; son-in-law, Royce Hull; sisters, Irene Meikle, Helen LeBlanc; brothers, Harry and Allen; five sisters and four brothers who lived away.
