Obituary of Donald Alexander MacIntosh

NEW GLASGOW – Donald Alexander MacIntosh, 92, Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow, formerly of High St., New Glasgow died Wednesday, September 19, 2007 in the Manor. Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Dougald and Jane Ann (Sutherland) MacIntosh. He was a member of Trinity United Church, New Glasgow. During his life, he had been employed at various jobs and had operated a shoe repair shop in Stellarton. He and his late brother, George, were well known fiddle players, who entertained throughout Pictou County. Surviving is his niece, Heather Simpson, Moncton, N.B. He was predeceased by sister, Hilda Simpson; brother, George; niece, Jane Langille. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Thursday in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel with Ms. Lori Crocker, Diaconal Minister, officiating. Interment will be in Lorne Street Cemetery. Donations may be made in his memory to any charity of choice.
