Obituary of Bryce Lloyd Jack
NEW GLASGOW – Bryce Lloyd Jack, 79, New Glasgow, formerly of East River St. Mary’s, passed away peacefully Saturday, December 29, 2012 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in Cochrane Hill, he was a son of the late Wallace Daniel and Cora Edna “Dolly” (Hudson) Jack. Bryce was a master woodsman, who greatly enjoyed his career in forestry. He was an avid trapper, hunter and fisherman, who enjoyed blue grass and old-time music. Bryce had a wonderful sense of humour, which he intertwined into his storytelling and poetry. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.
Surviving are Pat (Borden) Rhuland, Lunenburg; Jenny (Wilfred) Sponagle, Country Harbour; Darlene MacLennan (Mike Malloy), Linacy; Irene (Bruce) Shaw, East River St. Mary’s; Freddy MacLennan, Halifax; Paul (Marie) MacLennan, Aspen; Alex (Nancy) MacLennan, Country Harbour; Jimmie (Dana) MacLennan, Springville; Roland (Peggy) MacLennan, New Glasgow; sisters, Maxine Archibald, Hilden; Peggy (Robert) Fraser, East River St. Mary’s; Muriel “Jackie” (John) MacManaman, Bailieboro, Ont.; Evelyn Jack, Westville; sisters-in-law, Angie Jack, Black Brook; Beatrice Jack, Riverton; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his life-long companion, Helen May (Langley) MacLennan and her son, Johnny (Marion) MacLennan; sisters, Phyllis Taylor and Vivian Hillier; brothers, Milford “Buster” and Robert “Bobby”; brothers-in-law, Ernie Taylor, Don Archibald and Dale Urquhart.
The family will receive visitor’s 1-1:50 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31 in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home Chapel, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held 2 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating. Interment will be in Valley View Cemetery, East River St. Mary’s.
