MERIGOMISH – Charles Edward MacPherson, 70, Merigomish, passed away Friday, September 7, 2018, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow surrounded by his loving family. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late William Calvin Sr. and Florence Mae (Conrod) MacPherson. He owned and operated Rusty Horse Logging and thrived working outdoors. Charles enjoyed woodworking, hunting, looking after his horses and traveling with his canine companions. He will be dearly missed by those he loved. Surviving are daughter Sara (Chris) Hilliard, Merigomish; sons, Randy (Gloria) MacPherson, West River Station; Jason (Deanna) MacKenzie, Grande Cache, Alta.; grandchildren, Travis, Raven, Ivylee, Jacob, Hunter, Liberty, Courtney and Samantha; great grandchildren, Ruby and Jasper; sister Ella (Howard) Welch, Bass River; nieces, Marie, Florence; nephews Stanley, Harold and Danny. Charles is predeceased by his wife Ivy Rita Mary (King), grandchild, Christopher in infancy; brother Donnie. In keeping with Charles’s wishes, his family will celebrate his life privately.
