Obituary of Margaret Eleanor Michaud

RIVERTON – Margaret Eleanor “Mickey” Michaud, 79, Riverton, formerly of Island East River, passed away Friday, December 2, 2016 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late John Joseph and Edith Mae (Stallard) Coady. She was a member of Maranatha Bible Church, New Glasgow. Margaret enjoyed going for long drives, dancing, baking, cooking and spending time with her special friend, Jackie. She was a caring and nurturing lady who dearly loved her family. For Margaret, life has changed; not ended. Surviving are her daughters, Marion (Leslie) Cameron, Churchville; Linda (Brian) Moser, Glencoe; Carol (Leonard) Brownell, Camrose, Alta.; Sally (Richard) Cameron, Hopewell; son, Leslie (Cavell) Michaud, Trenton; 10 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; sisters, Elsie MacDonald, Island East River; Mary (John) MacDonald, Priestville; Helen (Jackie) Chapman, Trenton; Nan (Clifford) MacDonald, MacLellan’s Brook; Corrine Brow, MacLellan’s Brook; Pearl (Raymond) Priest, Trenton; brothers, John (Marina), MacPherson’s Mills; William “Bill”, Riverton Heights; Gary (Doreen), Westville; Ranny (Velvet), Priestville; Tommy (Louise), Springville; Bobby (Joanne), Westville; George (Sheila), Priestville; Ross (Cathy), Stellarton; numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Delbert; brother, Jimmy. The family will receive visitors 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4 in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 5 with Pastor Jerry Stearns officiating. Interment will be in the Priestville Cemetery. Donations may be made in Margaret’s memory to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
