STELLARTON – Sarah Jane Boudreau, 87, Stellarton, formerly of Louisdale, went from the loving arms of her daughter and son-in-law to the open arms of her Saviour on Saturday, October 12, 2019 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Louisdale, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Michael and Mary Louise (Samson) Samson. Sarah was a graduate of the University of Montreal with a degree in Dietetics, University of Fredericton with a teaching certificate and Université Sainte-Anne with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She was a school teacher for 38 years, teaching in Oromocto, Ottawa and Isle Madame. In 2012 Sarah moved to Stellarton due to health reasons to be with her daughter Bonny and partner Tony. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, Stellarton and faithfully watched Salt and Light and EWTN TV every day. Sarah was an avid reader and enjoyed crossword puzzles, crocheting, knitting and sewing. She leaves a rich legacy of faith and love. Surviving are daughter, Bonny (Tony), Stellarton; grandchildren Dale (Alison), Stellarton; Dean (Jeremy), Cole Harbour; Kelsea (John), Westville; Josie, New Glasgow; great-grandchildren, Christopher, Katie (Coady) and Abigail (Kirby); sisters, Jennie, Thorold, Ont.; Priscilla, Mildred (John) and Lena (Stefan), Louisdale; sisters-in-law, Patricia, Mississauga, Ont.; Bella, Genevieve, Edna (Arthur), Louisdale; Helen, Halifax; brothers, Garvy (Pat), Brampton, Ont.; Raymond (Blandine), Louisdale; many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, Leo, Cletus and Rudolph; brothers-in-law, Charles and Felix; God Daughter, Shawna. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Monday, October 21st in Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church with Father Barrett Clare-Johnson presiding. Sarah’s family wish to thank the VON staff for the excellent physical and emotional care she received.
