Obituary of Patricia Elizabeth Anne MacKay

THORBURN – Patricia Elizabeth Anne “Pat” MacKay, 44, Thorburn, formerly of New Glasgow and French River, passed away suddenly at home on Sunday, January 9, 2011. Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of Gladys (Robichaud) Boutilier, St. Margaret’s Bay. She was raised in French River by her maternal grandparents, Edna and Austin Browning. Surviving besides her mother, Gladys are her common-law husband, Raymond Roach; step-daughter, Alesha, Halifax; sisters, Violet, Ontario; Beverley, Mineville; brothers, Ray, British Columbia; Earl, Ontario; Cyril, Wade, French River; Wendell Boutilier, Dartmouth; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws. Besides her maternal grandparents, she was predeceased by her husband, Charlie; step-son, Matthew. The family will receive visitors 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Jan uary 13th in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Donations may be made in her memory to the Pictou County SPCA, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia.
