Obituary of Lloyd Lawson Odo
MACPHERSON’S MILLS – Lloyd Lawson Odo, 68, MacPherson’s Mills, passed away suddenly Thursday, July 4, 2013 at home, in the presence of his family.
Born in Pictou, he was the son of the late Lawson Victor “Luke” and Hazel Jane (Chennell) Odo. Lloyd was a certified welder and had been employed with Maritime Steel for over 20 years prior to retirement. In earlier years, he had been employed with the former Hawker Siddeley, Trenton and MacGregor Bedding, Coalburn.
Lloyd enjoyed fishing and hunting prior to complications from ill health. For the past 10 years, Spike, his miniature Boxer, has been his constant companion. His family were most important to him; he especially cherished spending time with his grandsons, Damien and Danten.
Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Linda R. (Cummings); daughter, Leighann Cullen (Graham MacDonald), Scotsburn; son, Justin Odo, MacPherson’s Mills; grandchildren, Damien and Danten Odo, Trenton; aunt, Elizabeth Odo, New Glasgow; several nieces and nephews; many cousins.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by daughter, Catherine Jane Odo in infancy; sister, Gaye Kehoe.
In keeping with Lloyds wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service.
