Obituary of Marjorie Louise Forsythe
THORBURN – Marjorie Louise Forsythe, 90, Thorburn, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2013 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, surrounded by her family.
Born in Pine Tree, she was a daughter of the late Norman and Mary Amelia (Greene) Robson. She was a faithful member of St. Alban’s Anglican Church and Ladies Guild, Thorburn. A humble lady, she demonstrated her faith through the countless hours she gave in service to her Lord and church. Marjorie loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are her daughters, Kaye Gratto, Thorburn; Margaret Guerin, Mississauga, Ont.; Mary Bell (Collie) MacDonald, Little Harbour Road; son, William “Bill” (Pat) Forsythe, Thorburn; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several great, great-grandchildren; brother, Lloyd Robson, New Brunswick; son-in-law, Charles Campbell, Ontario; sisters-in-law, Margaret Robson, Pine Tree; Kay Forsythe, New Glasgow; brother-in-law, John Collins, Greenwood; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends, Barb Smith and Art Dewtie.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, James Jardine Forsythe; daughter, Marjorie Campbell; grandson, John Allan MacDonald; sisters, Catherine Roy, Edith Russell, Florence Goodwin, Norma Collins, Evelyn Fraser and Jean Murray; brothers, George, John, Kenny and Bob; sons-in-law, Merle Gratto and Arthur Guerin.
The family will receive visitors 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18th in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan 19th in the chapel with Archdeacon Peter Armstrong and Rev. Aidan Kingsbury presiding. Interment will be in Thorburn Cemetery.
