NEW GLASGOW – Ella Jane (Gordon) (Spaulding) MacLean, 71, Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, March 10, 2020. Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Patrick James “Pat” and Reta Florence (Gratto) Gordon. She was a former employee of Tim Hortons and Sears Keys and Engraved Gifts. Ella was a member of Maranatha Bible Church, New Glasgow, where she volunteered with the Community Cupboard for many years. She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by those she loved. For Ella, life has only changed; not ended! Surviving are sons, Jamie (Trina), New Glasgow; Patrick (Ashley), Westville; Gordie (Alice), Linacy; grandchildren, Emma (Ethan), Aiden (Chloe), Kaleb, Noah, Kendell, Bailey (Lauren), Jeremy, Josh, Nolan, Caylee and Harlee; former husband, Robert E. “Bob” MacLean, Trenton; sister, Mary (Freeman) Hodgins, Manteca, Calif.; brother, Fred (Beverly) Gordon, Dartmouth; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her former husband, George Spaulding. The family will receive visitors 6-8 p.m. Saturday, March 14th in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, March 15th in Maranatha Bible Church, 490 Abercrombie Road, New Glasgow with Pastor Jerry Stearns officiating. Ella’s family will be forever grateful for the compassion and care received during Ella’s final hours. If desired, donations may be made in memory of Ella to the Canadian Cancer Society.
