Obituary of Frederick Elliott Anderson
THORBURN – Frederick “Fred” Elliott Anderson, 58, Thorburn, passed away peacefully, Thursday, September 14, 2017, in Point Pleasant Lodge, Halifax.
Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of Evelyn (Haggart) Anderson, French River and the late Lester Anderson. Fred was a millwright and was employed with Scott Paper, Kimberley Clark and Neenah Paper. Fred enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family and friends, especially his beloved grandchildren.
Surviving are his fiancé and best friend, Colleen; daughters, Marie (Mark) Ross, Barney’s River; Vanessa (Brody) Paton, Saint John, N.B.; sons, Devin, New Glasgow; Daniel (Harlen), Japan; grandchildren, Brayden, Cole, Ryan, Hannie, Helaina, Damien, Elijah, Charlotte, Eleanor; sisters, Wanda (Harald) Preuss, Woodfield; Rhonda Anderson (Barry Travers), Toronto; brothers, Frank, French River; Duncan, Calgary, Alberta.
The family will receive visitors 2 - 3 p.m. Monday, September 18 in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held 3 p.m. in the chapel with Rev. Gail Johnson-Murdock officiating.
