Obituary of Ronald Jerome MacDougall
KNOYDART – Ronald Jerome ‘Rannie’ MacDougall, 86, Knoydart, passed away peacefully, June 16, 2018 at home.
Born in Knoydart, he was a son of the late Angus Dan and Christine (Smith) MacDougall. He was a member of St. Margaret of Scotland Roman Catholic Church, Arisaig. Rannie was a farmer and forestry contractor, working every day of his life until recently.
He is survived by sisters, Margie (Matt) Vooro, Burlington, ON; Anna MacDougall, Truro, faithful and loyal four-legged companion, Jimmy. many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sisters, Harriet Tutty, and Sister Hughena MacDougall (CND); brothers, Frank, Alex, and Lawrence.
The family will receive visitors 6-8 p.m. Tuesday June 19, 2018, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday June 20, 2018 in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Thursday June 21, 2018 in St. Margaret’s of Scotland Roman Catholic Church with Father Colin MacKinnon and Father Alexander MacDonald, concelebrating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
