STELLARTON - Robert Simon Cameron Jr., 48, Stellarton, passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2015. Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of Robert Simon Cameron and Bessie Elaine (Rector) Simpson. Robert was employed in Alberta for many years as a truck driver and hotel maintenance worker. He was a member of The Life Center, New Glasgow. Robert was a passionate musician, playing guitar and singing Country music. He possessed an unquenchable energy, quick wit and brilliant sense of humour. Robert will be dearly missed by those he loved. Surviving are his father, Robert (Janice) Cameron, Stellarton; mother, Bessie (Robert) Simpson, New Glasgow; daughters, Chelsey Cameron and her son, Landon, New Glasgow; Meagan Cameron, New Glasgow; son, Cody Hoover, Calgary, Alta.; his children’s mother, Karrie Hoover, Pictou; sister, Tammy Stone (Kirk), New Glasgow; brothers, Bo (Debbie) Wright, Lester (Rose) Wright, Eureka; John Rector, Saskatoon, Sask.; aunt, Irene (Jim) MacGregor, St. Pauls; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his step-mother, Honey Wright; brother, Timmy Stone; step-sister, Tammy Lynn Bowering. The family will receive visitors 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday Sept. 18 in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday Sept 19 in the chapel with Rev. Keith Hazzard officiating. Interment will be in Sunny Brae Cemetery.
